General Questions
What happens during the meet and greet?
Build a personal, trusting relationship with you and your pet.
Trust and communications are our top priorities. Here’s your time to ask any burning questions you have. We want you to be completely confident and comfortable with our services. We also want to make sure our pet sitters are comfortable with you, your pets and your rules.
Obtain pet information.
It’s important for us to get the facts. Is your dog friendly to people, children, cats, can your dog be off-leash when appropriate, are vaccinations up to date… Where does your cat like to hide, does she try to run out the door...
Obtain detailed pet sitting information (if applicable).
For pet sitting we need a little bit more information and the keys to the house. How much food per meal, are there medications, can we have a party at your house? Yes, we are just kidding about the party. We are trustworthy, reliable and responsible, but we do have a sense of humor.
Are you insured and bonded?
We are absolutely insured and bonded for your safety and ours.
What are your cancellation policies?
Things happen, we get it. However, if things are happening too often we will enforce our 24 hour cancellation policy. We reserve the right to take a deposit for cat and dog sitting, cat and dog visits, and dog boarding because that is money lost to other jobs we could have taken. You understand. We are generous people, understanding people and rarely have to enforce our cancellation policy.
Can you take care of my sick pet?
We definitely want to help and have gentle, loving hands for sick pets. We will work closely with you to make sure your pet gets everything she needs.
Dog Questions
Where is the meet and greet?
Boarding and day care meet and greets are at Tiger's house. Hiking, house sitting and home visit meet and greets are at your house.
How long are your dog hikes?
One hour of paws on the ground is guaranteed, but hiking adventures usually range from 2-3 hours away from home with driving time. Dogs go crazy when they hear the dog limo pull up for pick up.
How many dogs are usually on a hike?
Our famous off-leash pack hikes range from five to nine dogs that are dog friendly, human friendly and have reliable recall. We are passionate about off-leash tails on trails. Why? This is one of the few times dogs can be dogs. It’s hard being a dog living under human rules all the time.
What are your weather policies?
Dogs love hiking in the rain where there are more smells and more fun. So we do not cancel for rain, but we will cancel for lightning. Sometimes we substitute lightning days for adventure time at Tiger’s home.
How do you ensure the safety of my dog?
Your pet’s safety is our highest priority. However, they do make decisions of their own, and there are risks involved with those decisions especially during off-leash hiking. Don’t worry. During our meet and greet we will talk in depth whether off-leash is right for your dog.
Are you able to give medicines?
We are happy to give oral medications. We do not give injectable medications but can make arrangements for someone else to come administer injectables.
What if my dog whines at the window?
Obviously, your dog is looking for the dog limo and wants to go hiking. This is a reaction we see often.
Do you provide pick up / drop off services?
Yes we provide pick up and drop off services in our territory. Outside our territory, no problem, use our day care service. You drop off at Tiger’s house before work and pick up after work at your convenience.
Cat Questions
What is is included in a standard cat visit?
Cat care includes fresh food and water, cat box cleaning, newspaper and mail collection. We can water indoor and outdoor plants though there may be an extra charge if it takes more than a few sprinkles.
How long are the visits?
Some cats don't want company, so we are in and out. Other cats want some lovin' time, so we guarantee 30 minutes of cat care.
Are you able to give mediation?
Yes, we are able to give oral and injectables. Carmel does the injectables.
What if my cat won't get off your lap?
We will give your cat a special kiss and promise to return for more lovin' on the next visit.
